Landscape
Sometimes Loey just enjoys painting what she sees, which is very relaxing. Loey usually does these paintings when on trips or looking out her windows.. Often her landscapes start with watercolor (the most difficult of techniques). After 'living' with her watercolors for awhile, she may alter in any number of ways, but the original idea is still there. In this manner she paints something that you have never seen before. Traditional watercolors need to be protected under glass with mats to keep the painting off of the glass. Due to the difficulty in handling glass, at 80 years old Loey came up with several archival methods to protect the paintings without glass, which is noted under each painting. You may then choose to frame as an oil or as a watercolor under glass.
