When an artist begins painting, most artists start with flowers as the subject.  They are really hard to ruin as the colors are so inviting.  Later, one usually moves on to landscapes and then abstraction.  I still like to paint florals.  A simple watercolor creates the freshest florals, like there are breezes and fragrances.  I also really enjoy trying new ideas and techniques with flowers.
